Opening in Arlington, Texas in August, 1991, Bodacious BarBQ brought this unique and well-loved East Texas taste for old-fashioned pit smoked BarBQ to the DFW area. While this location is owned and operated by Fran Ruegsegger, who has been smoking and cutting for 37 years (and from Longview), credit must go to Roland Lindsey. Roland, founder of the original Bodacious BarBQ in Longview, Texas, in 1960 always looked for individuals with potential and a love for BarBQ and a love for serving people. His heart was so big that he wanted to share his success. While each location is independently owned and operated, it's his sauce and spices that continue to serve up great BarBQ. His legacy lives on through the individuals that were blessed by being a part of his life. 

 

Bodacious BarBQ, Arlington, is located in the old Underwoods BarBQ location (which opened in 1958).. A lot of BarBQ has gone out of this building. We are located 1/2 mile from the AT&T Stadium and 3/4 of a mile from the Globe Life Field Stadium. A separate banquet room is available for parties and meetings which holds up to 75 people. Restaurant capacity is 150. We are BYOB, so bring your favorite bevarage and we'll give you some ice for it.

Our meats are smoked on-site, with our sides made fresh daily. Our Banana pudding really is homemade. So If you re looking for the taste that you remember from Mom's or Grandma's- come in to try ours. We also proudly sell 'Moms Fried Pies' made by the Miller Family.

We are open Monday-Wednesday 11am-3pm and Thursday-Saturday 11am-8pm. We are closed on Sundays. We do close early when we sell out. Pre-orders are the only way that we can guarantee that we'll have what you need- but we do try to cook enough for the whole day.
